Evaluation of public engagement in science usually focuses on the impact on public participants.  Do scientists benefit from public engagement?  Karen Peterman Consulting has been collaborating with the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) to answer this question.  The AAAS has featured this work in an article published recently on its website.  Specifically, the article highlights the self-efficacy and outcome expectations scales that were a product of this collaboration.  See the following sites for the article and for more information about the scales that were developed.
